Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried this out and it was super easy to use. Instructions were clear and precise which allowed me to use this machine with ease the first time. The device allows you to create your own bags based on the item you are wanting to save. This was very useful as I cook for one so often times I need to save smaller portions. The machine was quick and efficient, I was able to seal two items in less than a minute. There is an internal cutter which allows you to create multiple bags at once. This product will making buying a bulk a breeze as the prep for freezing will be very fast and will allow me to save additional money for my family. Great product!

At first, the instructions and the FoodSaver FM 3000 looked quite intimidating. But after going through the steps a couple times, it's quite easy to use. I like the versatility of having a roll and bags with the accessory tool. And the bag sizes vary making the FoodSaver FM3000 useful for so many food products.

Great Product! (The Husband Was Right!!)

He had mentioned wanting a FoodSaver or similar product a couple of years ago after seeing a commercial for the product late one night. I remember telling him my normal line that it would be a waste of money. However, recently my family and I have made a life style change and are trying to eat healthier. I buy more fresh vegetables, fruits and more seafood based protein and spend more on groceries. So, I try to avoid wasting food. But with fresh fruits, vegetables, and fresh seafood, the food can spoil quicker so I was looking at an effective way to freeze the food before spoilage occurs. When given the opportunity to receive, use, and review the FoodSaver FM 3620, I immediately seized the opportunity.
In short, the Foodsaver FM 3620 was fun to use. The set came with a starter set of bags of various sizes and a vacuum seal roll. The FM 3620 also has a hand held vacuum sealer to seal the zipper bags. I have vacuumed and sealed salmon, shrimp, cooked steak, and avocados and put them in the freezer. I have used the shrimp and salmon and am pleased with how the food quality has held in the vacuumed packaged. Definitely no freezer burns! I just hope my spouse does not rub it in on how he was right about us needing a food saving product.
My only issue with the Foodsaver FM 3620 is that the instruction pamphlet was not detailed enough. I found that the photos and verbiage in the pamphlet were not sufficient and had to google how to use the hand held vacuum sealer. It turned out easy to use but I didn't know if I had to take a cap off or not. After that initial confusion, the FoodSaver is easy to use. There is a side handle that has three options: on, store, and open. Then there are three settings on the front of the FoodSaver: Moist, Seal, and Vac/Seal and these options, except Moist, are self explanatory. The moist function is for food that is really moist that may prevent the bag from sealing properly because the juice is running into the area to be sealed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excited to use this product!!! I started with making my own bag, cut it too short & it was of no use. This can be a pretty expensive mistake, as the rolls are not cheap. My 2nd bag was a success! I filled it with fresh mangoes. To my surprise the bag didn’t seal & there was mango juice all over the interior of the machine. There’s an overflow piece that lifts right out however, the juices were not contained in it. So many nooks and crannies where juices sprayed from the sealing process.
I cleaned up & used the included baggies to vacuum seal hot dogs. The attachment was very easy to use. I love how it retracted back into it’s original position, however, I’ve been wondering how to clean the attachment thoroughly as it sucks out not only air from the bag but also liquids. I made additional bags & have sealed bananas and mangoes with success.
The machine is very attractive and will look great in any kitchen. There’s a place to keep the cord out of sight. The price tag for this model is a little steep. It’s an investment but when you have frozen food from months ago looking like it just came from the grocery store you appreciate it.

Get ready to preserve food for longer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this food saver model because it offers a nice elegant and stylish design that I am proud to display on my countertop. I like the instructions and the tutorial that's shown on how to use the product. This help simplify vacuum sealing for first-time users. I sealed some fruit in the convenient provided vacuum sealed bags. This was my first time and it was easy to use because the seals were made quickly and the precision cutter made a nice cut along the plastic. The buttons on the top of the display are easy to use because they allow you to vacuum seal the bag and then seal the enclosure as a separate entry. I believe this will come in handy for anyone that likes to buy food in bulk and then vacuum seal the smaller portions into convenient sized bags whether they keep them in the refrigerator or for freezing. I believe this is a good product for small household and large households because it allows you to preserve your food for a longer period of time with less spoilage.

Stop throwing away food!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FoodSaver FM3000 is a good machine. The directions booklet isn't the most detailed in its instructions. For instance, it says to dismantle the accessory piece in order to use it. But it never shows or tells you how or where to dismantle it. I spent several minutes trying to pry it apart. I then had to find a tiny screwdriver to pull a piece off the bottom with no indication that this was correct. Thankfully that was right but I know not everyone has a tiny screwdriver nearby them at all times! The bags worked well. The machine was a little loud. The suction worked great and I had no food spoilage. I was provided with this product free in order to provide an honest review.

FoodSaver FM3600: Awesome countertop appliance.

FoodSaver has helped us reduce food waste and save money by not having to throw away moldy cheese, freezer burned meat and vegetables, and leftovers. Being avid users of our previous FoodSaver V2490, the arrival of this new model was highly anticipated.
After 10 days, it's been put to use for everything from chicken to pine nuts. Resealing for refrigerator and pantry items has been quick and simple. Repackaging for freezer storage makes quick work of the task.
The FoodSaver FM3600 is a stylish counter appliance. It's black color and sleek lines make it easy to leave in the open, and the storage area for the accessory tool is much easier to work with and store than the old tube storage area in the back of the V2490.
If you have any experience with other FoodSaver products, this item is plug and play right out of the box. It seems the sealing and cutting technology have been tightened up a bit: no stutter in the bidirectional cutting tool and the heat bar to works a bit quicker. The only downfall, if there is one, would be the typical noise it makes when in action, although we found this new model is a quicker in getting the air out to begin the seal process.
The accessory is a dream. It is so easy to open a brick of cheese, or a package of hotdogs, store the rest in the resealable zip bag, and it's ready to pop in the refrigerator to be used and resealed again.
If you have an older model, spend the money to upgrade to this machine. If you have not yet enjoyed the convenience and money savings provided by a FoodSaver machine, we highly recommend the FM3600 as your entry into the FoodSaver family.
