Oh my.

So I came from a Sony MDR XB950, and while they had a large bass punch, these headphones surprised me in a different way.
While they don't have a bass punch (which is just a skew of audio anyway), the audio feels like I have to go and start making music, haha .. In other words, extremely high reproduction of sound compared to what I'm used to. Best audio reproduction I've ever encountered with headphones.

Great Headphones!

I bought these for my 10 year old. I bought myself a much more expensive pair (different brand) but find I like these better and am constantly using his instead. Sound quality is excellent. Clear, crisp and comfortable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well after reading reviews everywhere I decided on the Pro5x and im very pleased. I have a tough ear for sound and these id rate high minus the bass, which I did know ahead of time.
For the price they are amazing.
Also i am running through an amp so i can tune them in
I would recommend this to a friend!

My first Audio Technica headphones ever, picked these headphones based on a lot of reviews. I've owned Bose, Beats, Sennheiser and so on. But these make all the other headphones I've tried pale in comparison. My favorite feature is the are simple to use, never have to worry about battery. These headphones have such a great sound, the bass is there but not thumpy and the mids and highs are supper clear. Even when you to listen to music loud, they still have a clarity that I have not heard from the others. Never thought I would say this but wired headphones, for me personally, are the way to go.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good sound, but too tight of fit

The sound is impeccable, and it is nice to have a sturdy pair of headphone.
However, I cannot keep the headphone for more than 1h on my head without getting a solid headache. The pressure from the shape of the item is too strong for my taste, which is unfortunate, because I should be wearing them all day at work.
I should have tried to send them back, but I think i missed my window for sending back the headphones... so really that is on me.

Performs well past price point

Although touted for DJ use, these are also excellent home stereo cans. Compared to the $1000 Sony Z7 set I used to have, these perform way past their price point at $100 (on sale). Light, comfortable (even for large heads), with well-balanced sound, maybe a bit on the bass-y side, but also with very present highs and a good soundstage. Nice, simple retro styling, plus a 9-foot detachable coiled cable with a screw-on 1/4 adapter and locking headset input. There is also an extra shorter cable. I also liked the minimal packaging used - just the box and then the contents in plastic bags.

Good for 30 seconds

I got these headphones for use at my computer. I plugged them in and they sounded great, though very heavy on the bass. I adjusted the headband to fit, and was down to one speaker/side. Disappointed to say the least. They were exchanged for a different set the next day.
