For me - It's Dark Roast or nothin'. Recently tried Starbuck's whole bean DR & was instantly hooked on Komodo Dragon. Went to the store for another bag but came across this. Being a hopeless Choco-Freak I just HAD to try this instead. I'm savoring my very 1st cup of Cafe Verona this very moment (while listening to My Sherona) & I must say this blend really does stand up to its description. Very full-bodied, rich robust flavor with indeed a Dark Chocolate tone to it. In short - Intoxicating ! Utterly Fantastic !!! And another pleasant surprise is this will easily replace the Moca (which has Sugar which I can no longer have) I used to get for a sit-down Treat at SB's. If they have this handy they can slow-drip a cup for me while my Wife has her little "Sugar Fest" Blend. Will certainly have a package of this at all times in my Sacred Coffee chest, along with my other SB's Dark Roast blends, which in my opinion you can't go wrong on any ot them. Thank You, Starbuck's - You've made my Day !

This coffee has a slightly mellower, sweeter flavor but maintains the sharpness of an Italian. One of my favorites.

A pleasant surprise!

My wife and I were out in a Sunday, in a book store. We had groceries enough for the week, but our coffee supply was low. We've been Starbucks French roast drinkers for a long time, because we like it's deep flavour, but also because the acidity worked for stomachs. Other blends were not rich or full bodied enough, or they strayed onto the acidic side. We risked it, and picked up a Caffe Verona blend, as we'd never had it.... And all I can say is WOW. Deep, dark, full bodied and complex. Its perfect for our french press, which captures all the beautiful oils, making for a visually tantalizing cup of coffee. That moment when you both take a sip, and smile, as your eyes light up with satisfaction. Will likely switch to this blend, as we are able we to find it on the grocery shelf. And would highly recommend to anyone who likes their coffee dark.
