I have been enjoying Caffe Verona since its introduction to the consumers at large. It was one of the pleasures to get up in the morning to my first cup of Caffe Verona until the last purchase in the new packaging. Ugh it is BITTER. It taste like burned carbon. What did you do????
I have tried so many different coffee roast and this is one of my favorite. The other one is not readily available (Cafe do ponto from Brazil). This Verona is strong but not bitter and very smooth.
Before trying this product, I’ve never really loved coffee, until I bought this ! It tastes amazing! I’ve tried other flavors but this one takes the cake as my favorite!
Prior to the repackaging Caffe Verona, in my opinion was the best Starbucks selection. However, since repackaging the taste, flavor, and aroma has changed. I have enjoyed at least one cup of Verona every morning for the last 10-15 years and regardless of what Starbucks says, the taste, flavor and aroma has changed since the roses and colors of the packaging changed. In my opinion Verona is now just good not great.
Since my first taste, this has been MY coffee. Literally none other compares; believe me, I’ve tried. It is so flavorful and smooth for a dark robust, and is wonderful as is or with extras. Even my sister, who doesn’t like dark roasts, enjoys Verona. If Starbucks ever stopped making it, I literally don’t know what I’d do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This non-decaf coffee product is a good alternative to caffeine coffee. The taste is your typical Starbucks flavor and taste, yet doesn’t give you jitters that strong caffeinated coffee does. If you want a cup of coffee but not the caffeine this will do the trick.
