Fun without Base

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were excited to try out the new Duke Caboom Racer. However, they were really disappointed with the way it comes out of the base. First of all, you definitely have to use it on hard wood or tile only. Carpet will not work. It also was really difficult for them to do on their own. They could pull back ok to "rev" it up, but then getting it into the base was a little harder to figure out. Eventually, they got it going ok and enjoyed seeing Duke crash into things as he raced across the floor. It was much easier to just use it without the base, pull back and let him fly.
I think they had the most fun configuring his body all sorts of ways so he could look funny driving.
We also tried sending him down a ramp, or off a box, but sadly, neither worked well Gravity took over immediately and down he fell. So it was a mixed bag. I think the toy works ok as a pull back and release toy, with no base, and also with no thoughts about any air time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun Toy for Kids of Many Ages

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy has been fun for both of our children. Our toddler enjoys pushing around the motorcycle and likes it when we wind it up and shoot it off using the launcher. Our preschooler will wind the bike up and use the launcher, along with posing Duke Caboom in different ways. We as parents even enjoy playing with this toy; it's fun to wind up and launch and it hearkens back to a time of simpler toys that still provided fun and entertainment. The toy seems well-made although there is the question of how long the winding mechanism will hold up with regular use or in the hands of a toddler who doesn't understand when it's fully wound. We are glad to have selected this toy for our children.

Fun, creative toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was so excited to open and play with Duke Caboom! He immediately took him out of the package (which was fairly easy to open, I might add) and played with him the rest of the day. He kept saying “this is the best toy ever!”. We are very pleased with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New favorite toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year old loves all things Toy Story, so I knew this toy was going to be a hit. As soon as he noticed I had Duke Caboom, he snatched it out of my hand screaming, ready to play. Using the launcher will send Duke Caboom racing across the floor for up to 15 feet, very quickly. This toy is very easy to use and will keep your childs attention for a long time. I love that Duke stays on the bike without falling off and you can position him to your liking. I would recommend this toy to anyone.
