Fun play set!

I got this set for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it so much. This is one of the things she specifically asked for for Christmas. It is so much fun to make the cakes and she loves to make them and give them to her other Barbie dolls. We made so many cakes Christmas Day! I really enjoy making the cakes with her and one of the great things about this set is how easy it is to clean the extruder where you make the cakes. My daughter also loves to “decorate” the cakes and use the little piping bag to make heart indentions on the cakes. The. Barbie that comes with this set is standard, but very pretty, her dress is grey with pink trim, which is a nice contrast. Her apron has little cakes all over it, which is very cute. The only negative thing is the doll’s dress doesn’t have a velcro closure, which makes dressing and undressing her difficult. I highly recommend this set if your child loves to play with dough.

Awesome & Creative Playset

My daughter absolutely loves this playset! I love how creative she can be in making cakes and that you can use playdough when the barbie dough runs out. The only downside is that the playset only comes with one cake box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for creativity and imagination

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4.5 year old daughter loves this set. She played with it for a solid 3 hours the first day we had it (and many hours since then). I love that it has playdough to inspire creativity and Barbie to inspire imagination. She is just starting to show interest in Barbie's so the playdough was a bigger hit for her (especially the sparkly one). She enjoys having a place to hang all of Barbie's decorating tools. I enjoy the fact that I can replace the playdough and she can still enjoy playing with the playset.

Truly an enjoyable toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my daughters loved the Barbie Cake Decorating set. They are 3 and 9 so it can be challenging to find toys that are fun for both of them to play with together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. My oldest was able to figure everything out on her own and my younger daughter could do everything with a little help. They played with this set for 3 hours during a rainy day and have played with it every day since we got it!

ADORABLE playset-- GREAT for older kiddos :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Cake Decorating Playset does not disappoint with the aesthetics -- in typical (awesome) Barbie fashion, the colored are bright, inviting and super girlie! The accessories are adorable and very detailed, including the piping bag and various decorations to put atop your play doh creations; personally my kids love the rainbow and teddy bear best! My 3 star rating comes from the design of the overall "bakery" -- it is a rectangle with great detail on one side, but the other side is just plain. I think this works best if it's in a dollhouse against a wall; not for a double side playing (which my kids tried to do and fought over who got the cool side). The instructions are not in the box, so it was hard to tell what went where. I had a 3 year old and a 5 year old trying to figure out how to get the cake to "bake" and I couldn't find any accompanying directions. Overall, I think this is fantastic for 7 years plus; my little ones enjoy playing with this playset but some of the more dainty accessories could be destroyed within a matter of minutes for rough little hands (the cake box is SOOO cute, but it won't make it 3 rounds of baking with my kids!). The details on the accessories are very well though out and the doll is adorable (as usual with Barbie). I would definitely recommend this to something with an older child. The young ones love to play with the dough and the accessories, I just don't think they are able to grasp the full potential of this set quite yet --at least without a little mommy assistance;)
