Nice washer

I really like the new GE washer. We have the 5.0 CI with the agitator. It holds a lot of clothes. I really have to reach to get to the clothes at the bottom of the washing machine. I am not a fan of the machine picking the amount of water for each wash. I like that I can add 3 gallons, 6 gallons or to fill the washing machine for the larger loads.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love my washer. It does an amazing job and is so quiet. It holds more in the washer and gets laundry done in half the time.

GE-GTW845CSNWS Top Load Washer

This top load washer replaced a 7 year old LG Top Load Washer. Here is what I would have to say after a month of use. The GE washer is louder than the LG and the clothes are not as dry after the cycle is completed (GE-800 rpm drum speed, LG-1100 rpm drum speed). However, I have not experienced the unbalanced condition with the GE as I did with the LG (Invertor on LG). The 75 oz. detergent reservoir is a major benefit and the water sensing is excellent as well. These are the two main features that sold me on this washer. I'm pleased with the overall performance of the washer and would certainly recommend.

Questionable Performance and Durability

Within the first few times using this washer the center agitator came off during the spin cycle and actually put a dent in the stainless steel drum. My husband reattached it only to find it came off with the next load. I think he's got it fixed now so I just hope this isn't an ongoing problem. I've been using the automatic detergent dispenser and find that there is white detergent residue on dark clothes even when I use the deep rinse and extra rinse features so I have to put them through an extra drain and spin cycle with the deep rinse. I think it would work better if there was a little more water added. I can't reach the bottom off the drum and I'm 5' 4". Disappointed because I had been very happy with my previous GE washers.

Love the size!

I was looking for a larger size washer so I could wash my king size quilts. This washer fits the bill. It has an automatic detergent dispenser which is so handy. I have also enjoyed how it “saves” information from your last wash. If you are short, it might be difficult for you to reach to the bottom though.
