My experience so far is very positive. It was a bit painful to see the price drop $250 for the exact same model just days after placing my order, but that's life. The ordering, on-time delivery and relative ease of integration as my replacement laptop has been very satisfying. This is my first Lenovo and I am so far happy with my choice.

Computer is fine, warranty details are scarce and need to be better communicated by Lenovo. This is especially relevant when extended warranty is added to the product. Please include in packaging (going forward) a FULLY DETAILED warranty information packet.

Decent build compared to other recent Lenovo's (Carbon X1) that had repeated critical hardware failures. The main issue that I have with this unit is the 2 hour battery life. I can get it up to 3-4 but have to have everything turned down or off with the screen so dim its almost hard to see. Its like buying a top of the line sports car and only being able to drive it at 20kms/hour. Would only recommend if its being used plugged in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used many laptops for work and home. The Lenovo so far has been the nicest of them all. By far. Excellent and luxurious build quality, light-weight, and probably one of the best keyboards you will ever find on a laptop. This one now replaces my desktop... no looking back!
I compared the X1 Extreme Gen2 against the mighty Dell XPS 15 and the Microsoft Surface Book. All would have worked great for me but the Lenovo won me over with the excellent display, how it is laid out, and the excellent keyboard. The battery life is definitely not as good as the Dell but I did not order the 4K display, so not a deal breaker for me.
