Disaster. Build quality good, feels strong. Back lid keyboard not pleasant for eyes, lights beneath buttons are the issue, light coming from there is more prevalent than how should lightened button really look, it bothers my eyes now so for 2k EUR i got eye trouble. Also there is no option for light to stay on constantly, every time windows go to sleep, i need to turn them manually on. Keyboard as always, top precision and feel. File explorer freezes from time to time, don't know if its due to bad parts or windows it self. Overall power for the money feels strong but sometimes all freezes, again not sure whats going on. Most of the time I have always opened, dreamweaver, photoshop, bunch of browser windows, files, e.t.c. As last, barely writing this review, i had enough buying hardware and later trying to solve issue, so this is my honest opinion, can't say I recommend but love the build and keyboard, keyboard is what I like the most from all laptops available on the market, and that's why I chose Lenovo product again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical at first purchasing this laptop because I had no prior experience with Lenovo. I am extremely happy with my Thinkpad P53!
It is everything I want in a workstation. A monster of a modular machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Havent had it for long but so far has been a nice machine. I think there could be more put in to the materials for they feel cheap with the plastic used and doesnt feel as nice as my thinkpad e15 which is a third the price. But other then material it runs as it should and does what is necessary for a good machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop had all of the specs I needed to use for my industrial design graduate program, and was within my budget. So far from my experience using it, it is fast and easy to navigate.
Bad battery, lot of junk software and bad pointing

I am disappointed with this P53 laptop for 3 reasons. I have been a loyal ThinkPad user for 20 years and have bought more than 8 ThinkPads in past. I usually get the latest and greatest at the time of purchase. This one was with Xeon processor, 128GB RAM and 3TB hard-drive. Firstly, the battery doesn't even last 3 hours. I know you might be saying it is obvious given Xeon processor, however I also had P51 in past with Xeon processor and it lasted at least 6-7 hrs. I don't do any gaming or media stuff and just wanted a professional high compute laptop for work. But I was shocked by how fast it ran out of battery even when I am not doing anything. Secondly, they bloated the OS with lot of junk software before shipping, which took me 2 days to un-install. Basically wasting my time. Some of those can't even be un-intstalled completely, thanks to Windows 10. Thirdly, thinkpads had always had Synaptics touchpad and stick. Now they suddenly changed to Elan Touch. User experience has been very bad. Unwanted flicks, unwanted clicks, shift in cursors etc. Then they started using Audio Mic from Synaptics, in which they don't have much experience. So audio is also nightmare, can't detect my bluetooth headset all the time. Anyways, for whatever reason, they decided to change vendors, add unwanted software to get money from junk software companies and reduce battery capacity is just not what I expected from Lenovo, which I thought will try to keep the reputation of old ThinkPad legacy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very heavy & Screen flicks in every 30 sec. I don't if its a fault or what. Need to connect to customer support, Considering the Processor, didn't find much difference while working with 1.1 GHz Processor, Now it looks not a good selection..
