[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd Lenovo workstation purchase. Reliability and performance has been outstanding in all cases.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I researched MANY laptops before settling on this one. A number of Dell reviewers complained of loud fans, overheating etc. HP had the same problem. Neither of these are issues in this machine. It's also very sturdy which was important to me because my old laptop cracked and started breaking where the screen met the bottom - and the power button was near the cracking so it became very difficult to turn on every time wondering if it was going to work. I'm very happy with the build of this machine and I do not foresee the hinges cracking and lifting away from the bottom of the laptop. The camera is amazing as are the graphics which was important to me. Lenovo online also has great deals and I got this for half the price!! It boots up quickly and runs smoothly and quietly. The only thing I was was different is the backlit keyboard - it's not very bright and you cannot change the colors which I wish it had to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing. All in all though this is a great purchase and I'm very happy with it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Windows BitLocker is on be default, so it it impossible to install Ubuntu side-by-side with the default install without logging into Windows which requires a Microsoft account. I had to erase Windows completely to install Ubuntu.
Battery life was a little shorter than I was expecting. My 4 year old Dell XPS has longer battery life with my workflow (browser and eclipse).
It‘s a real, expandable workstation with excellent cooling (other than most gaming laptops). Another plus is the whole Lenovo ecosystem (Thunderbolt 3 Docks, etc).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great and better then most of the already existing workstations. Super upgradable and with better quality compared to P1!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good, having a number pad on a laptop is very useful. Especially if you're used to having one on your keyboard. It's not super portable but that's a trade-off for having it be this powerful and reliable. Highly recommended.
