[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on the second laptop in the last two months. The first one arrived but Lenovo neglected to add the WiFi card so I had a mobile workstation that was anything but mobile. A few weeks later the replacement arrived, at a higher cost than the first one.
This laptop makes a terrible grinding noise when I use any CAD software. I do a lot of renderings in Solidworks Visualize and it overheats and sounds like it is going to explode when I even just adjust the view of a model in the viewport.
Even when I have the software set to use only the graphics card for both the view port and rendering, the temperature across all processor cores reaches up to 99C. I'm afraid the processor is going to brick itself within the first year. Thus, I can't / won't be able to use the laptop for it's intended purpose.
Already contacted Lenovo about the issue, and they said they will be sending someone to replace the graphics card. Maybe that will take care of the issue.
It works fine using excel, so if I only want to do part of my job it is ok. BUT, if I wanted a laptop that just did general office work then I would have bought a Dell.
I do most of the selection of desktop and laptops for the company I work for. I used to trust Lenovo, but I doubt I will recommend them any longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this laptop for my husband to use in the office and for his gaming. Works great so far, no issues running games or office software. Only complaint is the touchpad, which has been finicky a couple of times - not moving the cursor when in use, but he usually uses a mouse anyways so not a deal breaker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Man this thing is fast! I really enjoy the speaker quality from the Dolby system. Quadro graphics really come in handy while rendering 3d models and the occasional game. It has a great sturdy build and keyboard keys feature nice keystrokes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a tech person but I'm learning. I bought this machine as I begin coding bootcamp. I don't currently know all the proper tech-lingo. Beautiful machine, very sturdy, keyboard is silky smooth, set-up was fast and easy, OLED display is like nothing I've ever seen, colors are bold, true blacks. Fast as lightning processing. Shipping was faster than expected as well. It's a very heavy machine for a laptop but that is to be expected for a workstation.
