[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been on the fence what laptop to choose for its workstation designation in my AutoCAD work. I am a budget shopper, and laptops and desktops I've used in the past were not the right fit for CAD work, but somehow over the years I managed. Truthfully, I grew tired of dealing with relatively low performance especially when having multiple applications open, so then came a day when I had to commit to a proper machine. It took me some time to go through available online workstation laptops reviews, and as my goal was to find a true CAD workstation laptop with respectful performance specs at a price I can afford, I took my time. Lenovo ThinkPad P53 fits the bill quite well, and I am very pleased with the decision I made. Besides, I trust the brand, and count on the reliability of the device. To be clear, my CAD work is primarily 2D, and I cannot comment on the 3D design/drafting work capabilities and speed of this device. One start short of excellence due to a relatively short battery life span and overheating in spite of SSD. I am not a computer geek, so do not have an idea if SSD drive too heats up just like HHD.

Very well constructed, sturdy and I love the keyboard with the number pad. I purchased the workstation based on the recommendation of the IT specialist. My prior PCs have been HPs. I'm very pleased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had my P53 Thinkpad for a few weeks. So far I love it.
I’m very impressed with the design of the charging cord. With other laptops I have had issues with connect and breakage at the charging port. This laptop has more of a solid, stable connection for charging.
I like the fact it has a light that shows if Caps or Number lock is engaged. I selected this specific model for the added 10 key in the key board.
One feature I didn’t even know I would want but am loving is the finger print pad. It makes it so easy to get started.
I really enjoy having the operating system and my programs on the SSD. It’s my first time to have a SSD and I love the speed it adds to working on my laptop. Everything gets booted up much more quickly. In addition we added a regular hard drive for storage of data.
I’m hoping that this laptop last us a long time. That will be the true test of what I think of its value. So many seem to only be made to last 2 years. It takes a lot of effort to transfer your programs and data so often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit arrived two weeks ahead of predicted schedule. Works as advertised, stable and fast processing.. I bought the 4k non-touch screen which is very sharp and bright. Happy with the purchase and the better than promised delivery performance.
