[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased and returned 3 other brands. I wanted a computer that "looked more modern". Looks can be deceiving. When I purchase a new computer I call the support line. That is why I came back to ThinkPad. The premier support is the best in the business. It is clear when you call that they truly want to help find a solution. The build quality is why Lenovo stays true to how it is made. It is designed to be upgraded and repaired which gives this computer more value.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cpu & gpu thermal throttles a lot. Same specs as thin & light (Ws75, razer blade studio, etc) but bigger with less battery life (even though the battery is larger with same components.)
Build quality is nice, Oled screen beautiful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The p53 is a premium workstation tarnished by a few misses. Feature set wise it compares with other workstation level laptops well and review sites have covered almost all the details. As a refurb machine, it arrived in absolutely impeccable condition with not a single visible scuff or scratch anywhere on the unit. However, some issues exist; notably, the OLED display moire interference with the display digitizer is quite noticeable when the display brightness is high and the speakers are oddly offset with the "left" speaker being nearly at the center of the laptop and the right being far to the right. This causes any audio played to feel like it's not balanced correctly.
Does it do what I need it to do? Absolutely. Does it have room for improvement? Absolutely again.
One further note: I discovered only after purchasing the machine, that apparently if you purchase a refurb unit, you are not offered the active pen accessory at the discounted price that they offer it to first sale purchasers for. This is pretty disappointing considering that even as a refurb, it's an expensive machine.
