[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a computer scientist who use laptop for work and research. I am impressed with the rubustness and performance of my new P53. I have bought it for AI research and it is responding my demands. The design is not that great but is a solid piece.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is not just a computer, it is a rocket. I'm a long time Lenovo customer and I had many other Lenovo laptops. But this time I decided to choose the best of the best.. I was advised to go with the P53.. and that was a very right decision.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The P53 is pretty solid as a desktop replacement if you intend to keep it on a desk, plugged in with power and external peripherals. However, they really need a non touch screen option, because the grid and moire effects of the touch screen later take a beautiful 4K OLED display and make it look pretty grainy and sometimes just bad. It won't bother everyone though and some panels apparently look better? Good return policies, so give it a try. Solid build and a beastly setup when upgraded (e.g. 64GB RAM and Xeon CPU). Battery life is wanting, and I'm not sure why. Full charge asleep, but next morning 87%. Wat. Shifted track pad to center on the keyboard and power cable coming out the same spot mean you will have to shift the "laptop" to the right to not go batty with this thing on your lap. At 6lbs you may not want it there anyways. It does to a bit hot and fans will white shirt pretty frequently, but it will smash through a game or compiling code. A few tweaks and this laptop could be the undisputed king of desktop replacements, if Lenovo will listen and adjust.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Storage can be expanded but Lenovo comes short as SATA cable doesn’t come with the PC and is unavailable for purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While excited about the power of the workstation, I am worried about the durability. Transitioning from my w530, the P53 is a huge improvement. However, within days of the purchase, the bottom corner of the laptop was bulging out - separating away from the keyboard. Thankfully I was able to get a replacement within weeks. Regarding performance, I really enjoy the speed and the graphic capabilities. I chose the P53 over the p1 gen 2 because of some reviews stating that the p1 gen2's overheating tendencies but I do however wish the workstation was a bit more transportable, I guess I want two things that doesn't really go hand in hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
