Laptop performs as per description. The promised 1-3 business day for ship time, however, was more like 3 weeks. I purchased in expectation to receive at the advertised time. Lenovo needs to state the true ship time, which is 10-15 business days.

A powerful AMD machine

T495 is a very capable machine. It is a viable and more affordable alternative to T490. The build quality is great, very thin and light, and the keyboard (as usual) is legendary with deep travel distance. I bought the version with 8GB ram and 256GB SSD. Upgraded it to 16GB and 500GB, respectively, and it is blazing fast. The upgrades were quite easy to administer. All in all, I think AMD has come a long way in terms of laptop PCs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great device, minor nags.

Great overall device.
* Solid build.
* upports display over usb-c (non-thunderbolt).
* Works with third party 45+W PD usb-c hubs.
* Works with monitors with usb-c display and PD.
* The physical shield on the webcam is subtle but effective.
It does have some small issues:
* Power management is broken on Linux when starting it up without power being plugged in. This will cause the device to hang on boot.
* The left mouse button above the trackpad sometimes does not register clicks when pressed too far on the left. The button still actuates, but the switch does not close the circuit properly.
* The trackpad itself is hinged at the top, so to do a physical button press on it needs to be pushed on the center or bottom half. It cannot be pressed at the top.
* The Ryzen sticker is inconveniently placed and will become a tactile annoyance once the corners peel.
I would recommend this to a friend!
