[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went back and forth for weeks. Finally decide ThinkPad was the correct laptop model for me. But I ordered one with a smaller screen so I had to trade up. X390 series are perfect perfect perfect for my old eyes because it has a slightly bigger screen without feeling heavy. The keyboard is so comfortable to type on that I find reason to use it even though it is a touchscreen (which I LOVE). It has all of the ports that I will need and I am sure it does more then I will ever figure out. Great choice for someone looking to replace their old laptop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a solid laptop - what you expect from a Thinkpad.
My biggest concern is with the poorly back-lit keyboard - doesn't compare to my T470 back-lit keyboard lighting. This was discouraging as I had hoped for a similar level of quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only downside is there is no Ethernet jack, Fujitsu has proven for years that small portable laptops can still have a Ethernet jack. Also not upgradeable far as ram. Overall very good laptop so far.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the Thinkpad x390 but it feels more flimsy that the x230 it replaces and I miss having the ethernet connection I used to have. I do like the bigger screen.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great work laptop with everything one could need for a regular day at the office. Big fan of the touch screen and the battery life is nothing to smirk about.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thinkpad x390 is very light and small, it can go easily in shoulder bags, and has a long-lasting battery, which made it perfect for girls who don't like carrying a backpack around all the time. One shortcoming of it, is that it has only two 3.0 USB portals, which makes it unfriendly for mouse users.
