[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i've been using this product for a little over 1 month now, compare to my other lenovo laptop, this one is not as good as what i expected. The keyboard is not very comfortable, and the surface is very easy to get finger prints
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The X390 is my first Windows device in approximately 10 years as I've been using Apple during this time (and will continue to do so). I wanted to dive back into the world of Microsoft for s/w development purposes and I spent weeks trying to figure out the best laptop to get. I looked into Microsoft and Dell options with special attention to the recent Surface Book 3 and the 2020 Dell XPS 13. However, I then came across the X390 which was on sale due to the Memory Day weekend and pulled the trigger due to the size and value of the deal. After a few weeks of using this machine, I have had no regrets whatsoever. I had previously used a Thinkpad back in the 2000's for work so this machine quickly reminded me of the quality of the old IBM based Thinkpads and then some. If you're a fan of Thinkpad keyboards, then the X390 will not disappoint. The machine is super lightweight and well built. The performance is fantastic with a 10th gen Core i7. If I had any complaints, it would be the touchpad but that's due to the fact that I'm coming from the Macbook Pro world where touchpads are massive. In comparison, the Thinkpad touchpads are simply OK with the left/right click being the most annoying but I also might chalk that up to Microsoft Windows 10. The screen is solid - no complaints there and the array of ports are great. I love the fact the machine comes with a Thunderbolt 3 port (which you won't find on a Surface device). Sure the X390 isn't quite as sexy as the Dell XPS 13 but the machine simply works and reminds me of that old adage - no one ever got fired for buying a thinkpad (or something like that)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] been very long time since I had other brand laptop in August 2007.
All this while & still, ThinkPad is in my 1st priority option.
Here now 2020 August, I "switched" to ThinkPad X390 (Indeed. After 13 years)
Reason is due to its ergonomic, sturdy concept, simplicity but without too much focusing on the fancy outlook design like other brands.
Whilst Lenovo take cares of the hardware profile; bundled with the latest Windows 10 with robust BIOS firmware ETC... is an essence as well to make the laptop works in optimum condition.
I was in IT backup & storage field for 8 years plus.
Thus, the 1st thing in my to do tasks was to setup the OS partition image backup.
(have plenty of storage capacity for my on going usage)
Chosen the right brand, is a good start. ThinkPad, still remained as a tough competitor amongst other.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems like a great computer. I have only gotten a few applications moved over from my old laptop, but the new one is very quick. I was a little concerned that with it's small size, the keyboard would be uncomfortable to work on, but that's not the case at all. It is a delight.
