It is a great range hood handworks well. I give it 4 strs instead of 5 because the controls are very difficult to reach. They are inside back right. I have to reach over my gas stove to turn on the light or the exhaust fan. I recommend that the controls are on the front of the hood.

I chose this hood because we wanted a strong hood without visible buttons on the outside.
It is LOUD and the filter rattles. It also has poor suction; a lot of smoke just escapes the front of the hood and is never collected.
Less than a week after installing it, I hosted Christmas Eve dinner and, with all four burners going, it just stopped working. The lights stayed on, but the fan shut off and could not be turned back on.
