machine didn't work properly when I received. great customer service. they promptly issued a refund. return label was sent. I returned for a refund because we were in need of an ice maker I had to find one locally as it take 5 days to get one from new air. it was a cheaper off brand. hope it is as dependable as newair.

Use cold water

I have had this ice maker for almost a year. One of the parts broke and customer service will be sending me a new part with instructions on how to fix it since it is still under warranty. Up to this point it has worked pretty well except it does not refrigerate the inside of the unit so if you do not watch for the ice to fill up it will begin to melt. This can be slowed down by using ice cold water from the fridge. Another complaint I have about it not being refrigerated on the inside is that if you let it set for more than a day without use it grows a mildewy smell since there is always a small amount of water at the bottom of the unit unless you pick it up and dump it out. With the unit weighing 33 lb this becomes cumbersome. A buzzer that lets you know when it is full would also be useful.

The perfect countertop ice maker!

My husband bought me this ice maker for my birthday last year after I made it very clear all I wanted was an ice maker! It's the absolute perfect size to fit on the countertop and doesn't take up too much space. We also love that there is 2 different size options and how quickly it makes the ice. I would absolutely purchase this ice maker again!
I would recommend this to a friend!
