I am the envy of all of my neighbors with my new portable countertop ice maker. I live in an apartment and they don't provide ice makers in our freezers so I always having to buy bags of ice. I have been using my ice to keep all of the mama's in my community hydrated when we're sitting outdoors, sipping on lemonade and watching all of the kids play. The ice maker makes 2 sizes, large and small and I love that it shuts down when it needs water or when it's full. I don't have to worry about it over flowing. I got white because I like a clean white look when it comes to appliances. This ice maker is easy to wipe off and keep clean looking, and it never shows fingerprints even though there is always someone looking in the top window to watch the ice being made. There is a basket enclosed which catches the ice so it's easy to just lift out and pour the ice into a container to store in the freezer, as well as a scoop to scoop out a glassful while it's being made. I am once again, a NewAir satisfied customer.

As for making ice it is great. Fills the internal basket quickly with very little noise. What noise is heard is rather soothing since it's the water flowing over the cooling elements. Would have given 5 stars but the door on the ice compartment doesn't have any kind of seal in place so the unit does not keep ice for very long. But it would be a great machine for small parties where the ice would be used quickly.

First portable ice maker did not work when we received it. Newair customer service has worked with us in replacing the portable ice maker with ease. After troubleshooting the ice maker they have approved a replacement ice maker to be sent to us. With that being said I have to write this review to get the free return shipping. Since we had received the product that did not work we ordered another one. This one works well and makes ice in a matter of minutes. Easy to set up and start using.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am so happy to have ice again without struggling with ice cube trays. I plugged it in beside my sink and let it run 24-7. I always have ice when I need it.

This ice maker is a game changer around our house

We are all ice users and never have enough ice by the end of the day. And you can forget about it when we have family meals. But with the NewAir Countertop Ice Maker this is no longer a problem. I like the looks of it. It is modern looking and can be plugged in anywhere without taking up a lot of space. But don't let the compact design fool you. This is one serious ice making machine. It can produce up to 33 pounds a day which is the equivalent of you buying three (3) of the ten (10) pound bags of ice from the store! Setting up the ice maker was simple. Just fill the tank with water and plug it in. All the buttons are located right on the front panel with makes it easy to turn it on and select the size of ice you desire. Ice can be made in two different sizes. A smaller size is perfect for glasses and beverages while the larger size easily fills your smaller coolers or beverage tubs. I like that it makes ice quickly. In fact, the NewAir Countertop Ice Maker makes a new batch of ice cubes every eight minutes! And it continues to make ice until the basket is full or it needs more water. Once the ice tray bucket is full, the unit will pause until you remove some of the ice using the included scoop or dump the removable ice tray into another container. Seriously, if you are always running out of ice...order yourself one of these ice makers. You will be so glad you did!
