I bought this portable ice maker cause the ice maker in our high end refrigerator freezes up after a couple of weeks and needs to be unthawed and requires a lot of maintenance.
I have used this ice maker for two days now and have made 20 lbs. of ice. This ice maker produces ice as described. The only issue I have is when the ice is made it is not completely frozen it is in a soft state. You need to place a full basket of ice into a freezer bag and place in your freezer to become solid otherwise it will melt quickly. As of this writing I am satisfied with this ice maker and would recommend it.

It works fine, but it’s much slower in making the ice than advertised.

Works great, makes 2 cups of ice every 5~6 minutes. Will maintain ice in the bin for about 2 hours before starting to melt.

Big Soda Drinkers!

We are big soda drinkers especially living in Vegas! We can spend lots of money hitting the local convenience stores around here. We’ve been looking into an ice maker that would make that yummy ice we are used to getting. Well we found this one from NewAir & we love it! As you can see, I stock up on the ice before making our drinks too. It’s amazing, & it’s not noisy at all. (I had heard that about ice makers) We couldn’t be more pleased plus the price was right!

I bought this unit in Aug 2020. And it works wonderfully. Very fast ice. I can fill my large ice tray in my freezer in 2 hours. Love it. I plan I buying units for my kids for X-mas.

Purchased this ice maker for our RV. It worked great for a few hours and then started saying “add water” when it was full. Contacted NewAir and they sent me a refurbished one in the place of my new one I bought. The second one worked for about 3 days on our camping trip. I asked NewAir for a refund or a different model. The ice full light comes on after only one completed freeze cycle so after only 9 ice cubes are dumped in the bucket, the light comes on. I troubleshooted this issue a few different ways including making sure the ice full sensors were clear but still only received a cycles worth of ice. I sent it back.
