Not what it used to be

I am so unhappy with this new model. They took away the power button and the light for low water and call them upgrades. I constantly have water come out into my fresh shot when I’m trying to shut the machine off. Also I sometimes run out of water in the middle of a shot because the water is out. This machine is a huge downgrade to the old model I had for almost 10 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent little machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous Nespresso died after 8 years of heavy use. We ordered a Pixie and we just love it. There is no bigger fan of Nespresso (seriously - if they ever need to drop George Clooney as their spokes person they can hire me) and I was miserable for the 6 days while I waited for the new machine to arrive. It makes such great espresso. My only complaint - MAKE MORE DECAF ORIGINAL PODS! I can only drink decaf and I only have three options now.

Redesign was a mistake!!!!

Nespresso, please look at your reviews!! Whoever redesigned the new Pixie machine really blew it!! I've had my old one for 12 years and have loved it every day. I recently bought the new one as a back-up since I realized the old one won't work forever. There is no On/Off button and it's hard to make sure the machine is off. If you try to turn it off, it just leaks coffee! The water tank is cheap plastic and doesn't attach easily to the machine. The cover feels like it will break if I push it too hard. The machine leaks and I can't tell if it's really working. Please bring back the old one. I have been a loyal customer for many years and will now have to look for a different coffee company!!! Shame on you!!

Great machine BUT

I bought this machine in April and it has not been working right at all. My two friends who also bought the same machine are having the same problem. After pressing start, it works for 5 seconds and then stops. I have to press it 6 times in order to fill a small espresso cup

Drips and leaks!

I’ve been a Nespresso customer for many years. After my Essenza died after many years of use, I was very excited about purchasing this Pixie Aluminum. Unfortunately this was truly disappointing. Worst machine ever. It drips from the spout so I have to put a cup underneath to catch the water. It also leaks from the bottom of the machine so I have to put a towel under the machine. Given the price of the machine, it should not be doing this!

no repair offered, to be changed every 2 years

After two yeark te oring gasket needs replacement but Nespresso would not do it. You are basically signing up to replace the machine full price (or small discount every 2 years) with all the concerns in terms of cost and sustainability!

My Pixie has traveled the world

I bought my Pixie and a traveling case over 8 years ago and I bring it with me every where I go. I work in film and television as a gaffer and have traveled the world for all kinds of different shows. The one thing I need is a perfect shot of espresso since some countries cannot be trusted for their coffee or espresso availability. With over 8 years of working and traveling this wonderful machine delivers perfect crema each and everytime. I am so thankful for nespresso and for that wonderful first shot and first Latte in the morning.

Hard working and long life machine!

I bought my pixie about ten years ago. Has always been a great machine. My husband started drinking coffee and using double my capsules! Durable, dependable, engineering is perfect on this machine! ❤️
