no repair offered, to be changed every 2 years

After two yeark te oring gasket needs replacement but Nespresso would not do it. You are basically signing up to replace the machine full price (or small discount every 2 years) with all the concerns in terms of cost and sustainability!

Disappointed

I had an older model and gave it to my son and bought a new one and I have to agree the older model is way more reliable than the new one. First of all it has two separate buttons for on/off the new one doesn’t, and it makes more difficult also, the black lid constantly separates from the machine and the coffee doesn’t come out as before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nespresso Machines Aren't Reliable

Having both the Pixie and Vertuo Pro, they've all broken or had problems within or soon after the warranty. I was able to get the Pixie repaired/replaced but they all leaked. After a couple years and more issues, we decided to replace it with the Vertuo Pro for the coffee option. It lasted past the 1 year warranty before issues arose in that version too and now, before the 3 year mark, it's completely dead. We've religiously descaled and cleaned our machines. So while the coffee and convenience are great - these machines aren't a good investment - 1-3 years at best.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Home after surgery- the best medicine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sent the pixie bundle and a selection of coffees to a dear friend recovering from surgery. She has a fancy, minimalist kitchen, so I knew she would not want a larger machine. Her home health care worker suggested a cup of coffee to get her blood pressure up- it worked AND provided her with one of her favorite treats- a real cappuccino!

I've had my little Pixie over 10 years and I use it daily! It's so compact and well made that I even travel with it! I call it the "Little Engine That Could" because it just keeps on going!! The coffee taste is divine and has spoiled me to the point that I don't enjoy other restaurant coffee. It beats Starbucks hands down!!! I have always used bottle water without minerals because we have hard water where I live. I run water without pod occasionally to keep coffee taste fresh and occasionally descale. I've taken to retreats and everyone loved it and many later told me they ordered one for themselves, that I had "ruined" them; they could not go back to their old coffee! I have family members and friends all using Nespresso now because they couldn't go back to old coffee! We all love that they recycle and make it so very easy to return pods. And we love that they travel the world over gathering coffee and helping to restore growing in third world countries, empowering land owners, men as well as women and the whole community. Nespresso offers us a way to make a difference for these communities by buying their product! Wake up to a "sinfully delicious" cup of coffee while helping someone across the world! No, I don't work for Nespresso but I do admire and support all that they do!

I owned the Pixie from 2011. That was a flawless machine. When it started leaking water I went back to get their new Pixie. Not like my old Pixie. I would say that the machine features are not up to par with my older one. My older one had a separate on/off button, which this one doesn't. My older one was very smooth when pressing down or lifting the lever. This one has a very industrial feel to it. Very rough handling feel. Gets hot and makes coffee okay.

Absolutely in love with my Nespresso Pixie and all of the different capsules I've been able to experience thus far. Original espresso is the way to go! Yes, the machine has a bit of a leak/drip post-brew, but I don't even want to call it an issue because it doesn't really bother me. For the Pixie, I love the compact design, quick warm-up/brew because I'm always running late for everything, I'm able to flip the drip tray up to brew larger capacity iced and milk beverages when desired, and I think visually the machine looks great on my counter. I'm actually considering buying a back-up machine just in case they ever stop selling these!

I’ve had my Pixie for over 2 years. Love how small and efficient it is. It’s my 4th Nespresso machine. Bought the first one in 2006. Can’t imagine living without my perfect lattes and cappuccinos. These machines perform flawlessly for years and years.I even gave one as a gift to a client.😁 It goes without saying … the coffee is awesome every single time!!!
