Pixie - bought in 2015

This review is for a (Black and Lime) Pixie that was bought in 2015. It still works!
Lately (when about six years old), it grew less efficient in making the shorter espresso shots, with more of the water going into the tray rather than through the pod. It still can make the 'lungo' size perfectly.
It has always been easy to use and clean, and never got too hot or messy.
It is one of the 'Original'-category designs, and is compatible with non-Nespresso pods as well. (The packing of coffee in Nespresso's own pods, and perhaps other things, make the extraction best with Nespresso pods.)
Since we prefer the ristretto/shot size to 'lungo', I ordered a new 2022 Pixie, but will stow this 2015 Pixie as a back-up.
Amazing longevity and ease of use. Portable on trips. And great espresso for six years or so, and lungo for even longer!
I wish Nespresso included Sant' Eustachio pods in their line-up, as Nespresso machines are said to have been inspired by the quality of coffee at the Rome coffee-shop, and also because Sant' Eustachio coffee is low-caffeine and low-acidity (so decaf. doesn't have to be the only option in the evenings).

10 Years Still Going Strong

I love the Pixie, it's the only Nespresso machine we've ever owned and still going strong 10 years later. I like its design style, premium feel, simplicity, and that it is made in Switzerland. But even more its small footprint has allowed us to pack it on vacation multiple times which may have been harder to do with a larger machine. Also, a nice touch that the side panels are made from recycled nespresso pods. We eventually got bored of the red aluminum sides we bought, they were easy enough to remove and painted them black. The whole machine looks very sleek now. I hope they continue to make this awesome machine for many years to come should we ever need a replacement.

I have the pixie titan. It is a beautiful machine and works great every time. Easy to use and easy to dispose of the used pods. It's small footprint fits easily in my kitchen.

Incredibly reliable machine

I have used my pixie every day for the last 7 years and it still works as well as the day I got it. So impressed at how well it has held up, I've never had to get it serviced and never had any issues.

First attempt to make espresso with my new pixie- water came out the bottom instead of the spout. There are no instructions included with the machine. Can’t find any useful Help online. What a frustrating experience. I would never buy one of these machines.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Quality & Value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great quality at a value price. My first Pixie lasted at least 8 years and survived 3 moves. It started to leak in the last few months so needed replacing. I was very happy to replace it with the same model.
