Mold and odor, don’t buy!

I have been using the Ubbi diaper pail for the last year in our son’s nursery. After using it for about 3 months we noticed a foul odor. When we opened it all up we saw black mold growing in it. We thoroughly cleaned it, dried it, and put it together again. However, this kept happening. The lid is now rusted and the mold keeps coming back. We’ve tried a variety of products to keep the smell and mold at bay. I just ordered a Diaper Genie to replace our Ubbi. I’m disappointed because I loved the color and look of the product, but it seems like there’s no way to keep the moisture from hitting the lid and causing the mold and smell to come back. I hope you can solve this major design flaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Diaper pail

Overall I really enjoyed this pail and have had it for a year. It's a little short but it does the job Well especially when it comes to holding smells in. You do briefly get a whiff when opening it but other than that it jas done well even after starting solids!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was recommended to me by a friend since I had no clue on what to buy as a new mom, super thankful no special bags needed has a lock in case you already have a toddler and it contains all the smell !! Literally in love with the fact that there is so many colors so they can match for all types of rooms !!! Will keep recommending to all new mommies that I see and meet thank you ubbi !!

I received this diaper pail from my registry and was originally pleased with its size and aesthetic. However, as time has gone on, the diaper pail has started to REEK. Every time we open it the room fills with the scent of old poop. We tried to deep clean all of the parts with bleach etc, and discovered that the main issue is that the plastic seal takes on the smell of the diapers…permanently. My son is 15 months now but we’ve been dealing with this issue for at least the last 6. This product is not made to last. Don’t waste your money.

Great diaper pail that uses regular trash bags

When we had our first child we were gifted a different diaper pail that used special trash bags. We experienced a few very anxious times when we ran out of those trash bags and the in-store supplies were low during the pandemic. I received the Ubbi diaper pail for free in exchange for my honest review about a month ago and we love using it. Not only does it look nice, but we can use regular garbage bags! This might sound like a negligible feature, but we spent a lot more money, time, and anxiety trying to find the right trash bags for our other diaper pail. This pail is also really easy to use and we can slide the opening up with one hand. It also keeps our dogs (and toddlers) out of the diapers. The only potential downside is that if the pail is VERY full, then if you try to stuff a full diaper into it, it's possible to get a little messy around the opening. The material is very easy to clean and wipe down, so this hasn't been a problem for us. Like all pails, if you don't take the diapers out often enough then it can start to get a little stinky. We haven't had this issue when we take out the diapers more often.

Love this project, received it free to review in mail. Destroy odors really well holds them in , easy to clean , easy to put together , get to use reg garbage bags too which is great .
