Horrible flickering after 2 months of use. I've read other reviews from this website on how to fix it but it didn't work. I've already tried to do everything that I can think, lowering FPS, another HDMI/

Great: 1. Price 2. Picture quality 3. Color reproduction 4. Response Time 5. Freesync 6. HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 Not Great: 1. At 120 Hz and 144 Hz, memclock of videocard is always maxed out. 2. OSD buttons. Joystick style is better 3. Screen flickering at 144 Hz on some wallpapers and some game areas. Fixed when changed to use 142 or 141 Hz. 4. Tilt only

Great monitor all around for just 300$

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor around August 2020, at the time i was comparing three different monitors, the cheapest 1440p 144hz monitor were AOC CQ27G2 @250$ with VA panel, Acer Nitro VG271U Pbmiipx @300$, and Viewsonic @300$. I ended up buying the ViewSonic because it have a IPS panel and performs similar to the AOC VA panel monitor for $50 more (IPS have better viewing angle, color, black uniformity, low black color smearing etc when comparing to VA; VA have better contrasts). Also not going with the Acer one because the reviews shown more ghosting in general. When I received the monitor, it was exactly what I was expected; great color, deep blacks, high color uniformity, just what you would expect for a mid range IPS panel. Aside from all the things I learned from reviews, there were two things that surprised me: 1. MINIMAL backlight bleeding and amazing black color uniformity! Stressing on the minimal I literally had this monitor displaying a full screen black background and compared it side by side with an older monitor that's turned off. It was barely distinguishable that the ViewSonic monitor is turned on. Only the top right corner had slight backlight bleed that gave it away. I've gone through probably 6-7 monitors in the past 5-6 years, and this is the best one so far in this area. I might had gotten lucky with this unit, but it seems there are some other reviews that echo this finding as well. 2. Speaker I know most people laugh at speakers built in to monitors, but this monitor's speaker is loud, and doesn't sound too bad. For a headphone user that only uses speaker once in a while, this is definitely enough and usable. I can use this for discord without any issues. I had two other monitors with speakers before, and both were hard to hear music, and cannot use for chatting in discord etc.

Set the monitor to: 144hz + advanced/ultra fast response time + adaptive sync on And you'll get this flickering nonsense. Work around is to set it to 120hz apparently. I paid for a 144hz monitor to run at a 144hz refresh rate with these features, not 120hz! Avoid at all cost.

Good panel, bad software, ugly stuttering issue

I bought this monitor a week ago. The Innolux panel is great and the same one used in some more expensive models like the Gigabyte AD27QD. Viewsonic had to cheap out in other areas in order to hit this price point, however. Ergonomics aren't good, and it appears that the controller that is in use in this monitor is pretty poor. Like others, I've experienced the flickering issue at native resolution/refresh rate. This is fixable by making a custom resolution. In addition, Viewsonic advertises 10-bit color, and the panel is definitely capable, but you can only do it using HDMI and not at native resolution/refresh rate. This can be resolved by using HDMI 2 and lowing the refresh rate. Users shouldn't have to do so much to use the monitor without issues. Gaming and media consumption on this monitor is great once you mitigate the above issues. The panel has great, accurate colors and the response times are really good on the right overdrive settings. Overall, I'd recommend this monitor...with caveats.

Splendit panel, great colors and ultra fast response, and all at a great price. Still the model has a serious Quality Check issue. I tested two of them and returning the second now. Both presented tearing on the desktop still image with grass.

I love the screen quality and speed of this monitor. Would buy again if I didn't already have 2 monitors.
