Awesome hood design

Most hoods don't enhance a kitchen, but this one sure does! The curved glass bottom and the simple stainless steel oblong vent allow for unobstructed views from our kitchen, dining and living room. It's one of the first thing guests mention when they enter our home. It's easy to operate, has multiple fan settings and the 4 lights, one in each corner really make it easy to see what you're cooking.
The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is that when we have wind from the south, we hear a rattling noise. I wish ZLine had added a baffle to the ventilation system. Other than that, it's a beautiful work of art when it comes to kitchen appliances.

I bought this range hood because it said it was ductless, but when we took it out of the box, the instructions said to hook it up to the duct work. It's a beautiful piece but we didn't plan on having to run the duct work to the unit so had to rip up the ceiling again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our installation manuals are geared towards the ducted installation. We have carbon filters available for the hoods so they can recirculate like the GL14i. You never know if what you ordered will arrive in good condition i found that it was packed properly for the long delivery. We order hundreds of thousands of dollars in kitchen and bathroom products and reject a fair amount do to defects and shipping damages. The experience in ordering the hood will result in more orders.

I have very mixed feelings about this product. Instalation, assembly instructions, and product design I give it 1-2 stars. Asthetically I would give it 3 stars. It's OK but there are some very shoddy things about it's appearance. Functionality is 5 stars, it is a fantastic vent hood.

Unit looks great and vents nicely. Unit hanging brackets were too long and had to cut and drill new holes to make work. Brackets were probably designed for a 10 ft. ceiling so I may just have ordered the wrong one. No big deal. Problem was the lights didn't work. Customer service was very good and sent me a new light package which arrived a few days later. Hate like heck that I have to pull the unit down to replace as I vented unit to the outside. Not going to be easy. But it vents very well and my wife cooked pork chop the afternoon I installed it and the neibors knew what we were having for dinner.
