Nice little fire pit

This thing is portable but puts out some great heat. The flame on high is very impresive for a small pit.

I plan to use this both at a cabin ( where wood fires are prohibited) and with an RV - so portability is great. I would have given it 5 stars if the legs were not so difficult to put down. the button is hard to depress enough to let the legs open up. Otherwise - I love it and it adds a bit of warmth this time of year.

We have only used once to test and season coals. Before test I dusted and then washed/dried the lava rock. Great flame. Gives off good heat. I purchased a quick release adaptor. If you do so, don't use teflon or electrical tape as good seal as it comes. If it lasts, I will be happy with my 5 star rating!

Great small portable fire pit

Bought this to use camping and it is perfectly suited to what we do. Small and easy to transport and yet provides enough heat for several people. Don't know about long term sturdiness, but it seems like a solid product.

Our unit arrived in perfect condition; well packaged, no damage and no missing parts. The fold out legs work well. The igniter works well once you figure out the process. (The owner’s manual directions are a little sparse.) A butane fireplace lighter is a handy accessory to have in case of complete igniter failure.
The Unit came with a generous supply of lava rocks. From other reviews we had anticipated the possibility of needing to add more, but we received enough to cover the interior to a depth of about 3 inches over the burner.

The unit has an attached hose and regulator. The hose is probably too short for a lot of users, but if it were much longer it would diminish the overall portability of the unit. For RV use, a simple solution is to remove the existing hose/regulator and to incorporate a much longer hose with a quick disconnect on each end to use the propane accessory connection that is found on many RV's. The unit is attractively finished, and is a very convenient size. The resulting flame seems sufficient and is moderately adjustable. The lid has a convenient handle that facilitates carrying the unit when the snap-latches clamp the lid down.
