Exactly what I was looking for, this is a smaller, sturdy laptop backpack. I purchased it because I am a smaller female that likes to carry only what is needed. As of the date of purchase it met all major airline requirements for personal item/carry-on dimensions that I could find (even the smaller European carriers). I was also looking for something waterproof/resistant and customer service informed me that this bag is water resistant. I have not had a chance to test it, but the material does feel quite thick. For my first trip with it, I was able to take my 13" inch slim profile laptop, a two inch thick exam book, a small notebook and all of my essentials (passport, wallet, keys, pen). Laptop padding is pretty solid. With less than gentle airport travel my laptop still works perfectly despite some rough handling. In my experience, the zippers worked just fine, which I checked thoroughly given the other reviews I had seen. For carrying around, it was comfortable. I am 5'2" and petite and the shoulder straps were well padded, but not too big for me. Additionally, this backpack looks professional, and high-quality. I only have two disappointments. First, there are some loose threads that have developed after only a one week business trip. Everything still feels well-made, so hopefully trimming those off gets rid of the issue. If it continues to come apart, I'll be contacting customer service (part of why I went with Samsonite because their customer service has been good in my experience). Second, I really wish this came with a small external water bottle pocket. But I knew it did not when I purchased it. I purchased this because I liked it. I was asked to review it after I purchased it. #sweepstakes

Love the green. Love the size. I will say it's probably well suited for a body with a small frame, but I'm 5'5" and it fits my needs and body perfectly. I have crammed a lot into it--computer (in padded area), iPad (in padded area), 2" stack of reading material, a 1" book, along with pens and a flat package of lysol wipes and such. Note: there's no water bottle holder, and a water bottle would not fit inside with all that I just listed.

Still good after 5 years

I bought it around 5 years ago. Still good. Perfect for women. Good size for 13.1 macbook and there is enough space and pockets for almost everything. I hope there will be more similar small backpack soon.

When I received, the zipper is defected as shown in the image. Also inside the front pocket, there is no slider to open the zip pocket (i would like to attach the image but the website has issue and i can't see the submit button if i attach more than 1 image). Not sure if it's intentional but it doesn't make sense to have the pocket but can't open. Also the zipper should be smoother, my old bag has a better feeling whenever i close or open it. This is my first purchase from Samsonite I expect the quality to be better. The design is good, very compact yet plenty of space but still need to improve the quality.

I'm a big Samsonite fan, but I'm not happy with the product since the zipper broke on the first use. Fortunately I could fix it, but the whole design is not well done since de zipper gets stuck each time. I would never expect this kind of problem in a Samsonite bag.

Good bag for a smaller person due to its size. It's not bulky and keeps its shape. Most backpack "deflates" when you put it down but not this model. I can find my items easily. I was able to fit my laptop, a book, important documents and other personal items. My only complaint is that it has no pocket for a bottle water. It's too small for a week long trip. I ended up ordering the bigger version for my traveling trips that are more than 3 days long. The name brand display is discreet and not in your face-kinda-thing. Overall good bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly this backpack was perfect for my work gear. The back sleeve is big enough for my Lenovo X1 Carbon, I can add in all my notepads, pens, and chargers and keep it all together as my work backpack. I have had it for about a month and had zero issues with is through rain and general use.
