Very noisy

We bought this refrigerator a week ago and are extremely unhappy with houw noisy it is. As the new refridgerators seem to run 80% of the time, we now have this monstrosity whirring in the background all the time. Would not recommend this product.

Nice, but lounder than my 30 year old fridge

This replaced my 30 year old refrigerator. It's only been here for a few days, but when the compressor and fan are running, it's much louder than my old fridge. Maybe I'll get used to the increased noise level, but I thought a new fridge would be as quiet as an old one if not quieter. That's something you can't know until it's installed and turned on. So I'm disappointed with that. When the compressor and fan cycle off, it is dead silent.
Aside from the noise factor, this is a very nice refrigerator. I didn't want all the fancy stuff you can get on a refrigerator and this fits the bill. A basic unit big enough to hold my stuff and keep it cool. Hopefully, it will last a long time. I just wish I had the chance to listen to it before buying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

IT's a nice refrigerator and a good size. It was given to me by the LA Department of Water and Power as an energy saver.

Nice and quiet

The fridge fits well in the restricted space that I have in my kitchen area. I have ample room in the fridge as well as the freezer so that I am able to stock up on extra items. So far, I am pleased with its performance. Thanks GE
