Bought this refrigerator in March and it’s been noisy until it stopped working beginning of September. The freezer defrosted and refrigerator got too warm. Still waiting for maintenance.

Hello there - we are very sorry that your refrigerator was especially noisy and ultimately stopped working. This must be discouraging and we certainly understand your disappointment.

Hello. We appreciate the time you took to reach out to us with your refrigerator concern. We hate to hear you had an issue with the fan motor, and the unit is now not cooling. We know how concerning issues like these would be, and would like to help.
After reviewing our system, we do see you have recently emailed for support and a case has been created for you. One of our specialists will be reviewing this matter and reaching back out to you soon. We will certainly update them with the information you left in this review.
For an issue with the refrigerator not getting cold, some troubleshooting options include making sure the door gasket is not torn and has no gaps, and the door is sealing completely. The unit should also have adequate air clearance to ensure proper performance. (The air clearance on this unit should be ¾” on the sides, 1” on the top and 2” in the back.) As you've had service recently, it is also possible the refrigerator could have been left in a diagnostic mode; if that is the case, disconnecting the unit from power for 30 seconds should reset the electrical components and restore normal function.
Additional troubleshooting steps are available on this article on our GE website: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21185 . Our service department can also be reached at 1-800-432-2737 if necessary.
We hope you are able to get this cooling issue resolved quickly, so you can enjoy your refrigerator without issue. If you have any other concerns or inquiries, we're always glad to help. -Sarah@Hotpoint
