Bought this Frig to replace an old Hotpoint frig that was 26 yrs old and finally gave up. Gave it 4 stars because the shelves are only wire and plastic pop and water bottles do not stand up. I added plexiglass sheets to shelves to solve the problem.
Not happy with the refrigerator .runs all the time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - We're sorry to hear you're not pleased with your new Hotpoint refrigerator. We can understand your concern. If your refrigerator is cooling and freezing properly, it is running as designed to maintain proper internal temperatures.
Refrigerators and freezers have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running. We understand this can take some time getting used to but it is absolutely normal. Kind Regards - Vikki@Hotpoint
I have limited space and this fit perfectly but still holds everything. I love the big door storage compartments and glass bottom shelf so you can see what's in crisper drawers.
The first one that was delivered had a vibrating noise coming from the freezer. I pulled it away from the wall to check out the noise and found a puncture in the back of the unit. Returned this one. The replacement also has the same vibration.

Hi there - Thank you so much for providing this review. We apologize that your first refrigerator made a vibrating noise and had a puncture in the back. This is not something we would expect to see. We're also sorry that your replacement refrigerator is making the same vibration. This would be discouraging and we can understand your disappointment.
If you hear buzzing from your refrigerator, it is most likely coming from the icemaker (if installed) or water valve (this is normal). To keep the buzzing from occurring, make sure the icemaker is turned OFF if water is not connected to the refrigerator.
There's also a list of normal operating sounds on page 19 of the owner's manual that may come in handy to read over to rule out any potential problems: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000478-2.pdf.
