I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago in the heat wave when my other refrigerator overnight stopped cooling. I only had a few options for a refrigerator that could be delivered within a week. This refrigerator is very much like my old refrigerator only smaller. but that is okay with me. Hopefully it will save a little on the electric. It has 2 produce bins on the bottom and 2 wire adjustable shelves for storage in the refrigerator part. I am not sure if I like the wire shelving yet so that is why I am giving it 4 stars. My old refrigerator had glass shelving that could slide out and clean. The top freezer does not have shelving and it holds a decent amount. Right now, we have 3 ice cube trays, a frozen pizza, a couple of gallons of ice cream, a couple of power bowls, about a dozen frozen vegetable bags and frozen ravoli and there is definitely more room to hold more. Right now the refrigerator is on the setting of "2'" with the max setting being "5" and it is plenty cold and the freezer is solid and it is 95 degrees outside. We got the refrigerator in white because we have a small kitchen. The handles are inset in the door which I never had before but am getting used to. It has a very boxy and simple appearance but fine for me. i thought it was a little pricey for being a simple, smaller refrigerator but I guess everything is expensive now.
I just got the fridge today and plugged it in and about 20 minutes late it was cold. All the other apartments I've lived in before had GE products and I own some appliances as well. I've never had a problem with any products made by GE. And I would recommend any GE appliances to anyone.
