Noisy

Fortunately, I bought this refrigerator for my garage. If it were in the kitchen, I'd ask to return it. It is very noisy when the compressor is running. As a comparison, I have another GE side by side in my kitchen and can barely tell when it is running. It should have nothing to do with the environment in my garage. I have a mini-split AC and keep the temperature at 68 degrees in the winter, and 80 in the summer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The new high efficiency compressor on modern refrigerators may run faster and longer than your previous refrigerator and generate more sound. You may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating which is normal. I bought this as a “beer fridge” and our only fridge until our big one came in. It’s a little noisy but it works great. It keeps things real cold.

Bought this about 3 months ago and it runs well, no warmer or cooler spots vegetables last long enough to eat them all. Cold but doesn’t freeze drinks or food, except in the freezer
