Like My Fridge!

This Fridge replaced a larger one that had broken down after many years of service. This one gets REALLY COLD (I run the Freezer at 10 degrees, which keeps the rest of the machine at about 35 degrees - just above freezing! No spoiled milk. I like my GE Fridge.
Some flaws in design. Shelves are difficult to remove and once removed almost impossible to put back. One must use force which ruins the shelf support. Manual that accompanies product provides minimal information. GE website doesn't show this newer product. It appears that there is only one temperature control to regulate both refrigerator and freezer. I really feel unhappy with this purchase but my space was limited and I was so very happy with the GE refrigerator it replaced. Wish I had it back...

Hi there,
We do not rate the sound level of our refrigerators or freezers, which means we are unable to provide a decibel level while they are running. However it is normal to hear your refrigerator running for longer than you may be used to. It takes more energy for the compressor to cycle on than it does to stay running.
Here is a link to the normal sounds a refrigerator should be making: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901
