Too noisy

Freezer is oversized, while refrigerator space is sacrificed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smaller Freezer space than I'm used to, but seems O.K. I'm happy with my purchase. Just a good, no thrills, light weight, basic box. Good value.

I'm enjoying the space, this is PERFECT for my studio kitchen. The freezer is deep, spacious, and the noise is minimal. My only dislike is that if either of the doors is left ajar, the freezer/fridge just works overdrive and there's no alarm noise or sensor. I learned this because the freezer door wasn't secured before bed one night and I awoke to the freezer working hard and I could hear. I felt terrible for the poor machine. It was able to get back to speed rather quickly, I suppose.
All in all, it's a solid purchase for the price. I loved how it was made in America, and is easy to move. The handles are sturdy and strong, and my favorite part about the fridge is the shelf that has a groove that makes room for my Brita and my Beer Growlers.
Thanks GE for making an affordable fridge with magnetic cover, in America.
