Defective from the Beginning

I ordered this refrigerator and it showed up with a broken starter for the compressor, so it was unusable. It was a defective product. This fridge had high reviews and works (for now) after the repairs, but I won't be buying a GE appliance again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great appliance

We are happy with this refrigerator. It replaced one that was well over 20 years old. Have recently noticed a reduction in our electric bill so that is a big plus! We realize we should have ordered one with glass shelves & could use a bit larger freezer. Didn't realize it did not come with egg tray or ice cube tray.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No computers here - a mechanical thermostat, a light inside, a quiet compressor - everything I look for in a refrigerator. I do not want, nor do I need, computers, video players, hot, cold water, ice dispensers. Just a simple, honest-to-goodness fridge... this is it.
