When I open up the refrigeration, I must always check the upper door where the freezer is as I always pops open. Cannot clise the door no matter how gentle I close it, the top door always opens up. Must always at times hold it close, as it opens up a slight bug enough to ruin the good in the freezer.
When I called I did not get someone to check out the frig but was told to up 1 notch on the frig as it will raise the temp and it will seal the door. Not so.

Hi - Thank you for having purchased a new GE refrigerator and for taking the time to post a review. The refrigerator and freezer sections on your style refrigerator are connected by air channels to allow cold air to pass from one compartment to the other. Slamming or vigorously pushing a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. The following suggestions may be helpful:
-- Check the leveling legs. The front of the refrigerator should be slightly higher than the back to allow the door to close normally. When properly adjusted, the door will close smoothly and firmly on its own.
-- Check to see if the refrigerator door gasket is sealing properly. If not, wash the entire gasket with baking soda and water (1 part baking soda to 3 parts water), especially on the hinge side. Then, lubricate the hinge side of the gasket with paraffin wax (not candle wax) or a small amount of petroleum jelly.
-- Place heavier items in the freezer door shelves to provide some ballast (weight), since this is the smaller door and is more likely to pop open.

We needed a smaller unit to fit under our cabinet and it fits perfectly. The only drawback is there is no light in the freezer.

It is very nice looking and the features are good but the noise it is already making is worrisome. We have only used it 6 days.
