It makes noise while running.

I like the product but it is smaller than I thought. My last refrigerator was 18 CU. Also you can hear it run.

Very Nice Fridge!

I wanted a fridge to match my other appliances and the 18 cf one like this wasn't available for months, so I decided to try the smaller one. We love it. The inside is a little tighter on space, but so far there is no problem there. Quiet! I noticed it is very quiet when running. Love the two-tone of stainless and black, though the stainless does show finger prints easily. Only had it two months, but I'm very happy with it.

Shockingly Loud

Due to pandemic supply chain constraints and the design constraints of my kitchen, I had a limited number of models to choose from. The distinguishing characteristic of this fridge is how loud it is, it's louder than the 25 year old fridge it replaced. On the plus side, it came up to temperature quickly, it's roomy inside, and the door bins are great. The lack of an ice maker is a plus for me, I think ice makers are a waste of space. But boy is it loud. Kudos to GE for making a more compact and accessibly-priced fridge for folks who can't afford or whose kitchens can't accommodate a "trophy fridge," but I'm surprised they'd put their name on a model where the engineering leaves so much to be desired.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We use foam insulation in our new refrigerator models which has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however, it's not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. Depending on the placement of the refrigerator in your kitchen, you may want to place a piece of rubber backed carpet beneath the refrigerator to help reduce the sounds.

Too noisy for indoor usage

My apartment installed this fridge and it's about twice as loud as the old one. A basic measurement says it runs around 62db to 65db which means its louder than my TV and I can not comfortable talk to someone once it starts running. Maybe would be OK in a garage but definitely not inside your home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
