Looks Great, Cleans Great - But Noisy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this our 2nd Samsung DW for our second home after loving our first one, model (DW80K7050US). I will say the 1st was a more expensive higher end model with a Stainless Steel interior and 3 rack levels. It is so quiet we can't hear it fill or even run most of the time. It advertised a 44db noise level. This new unit is plastic inside and must have less insulation in the door and a cheaper fill valve. It sounds like the kitchen sink is running when filling and is too loud running to watch Tv in the next room. It advertises a 54db noise level. What a difference 10db makes! I even pulled it back out and added the sound insulating blanket from the old DW unit on top of the existing thin insulation and there was only a modest change. The noise comes thru the door panel, from underneath, and the noisy fill valve. It cleans the dishes and dries them very well. Guess thats the most important thing - We just have to run it when we aren't around.
