Waste of money

Having problems with the dishwasher. Tried to contact Frigidaire without any luck. Placed n hold for over twenty minutes, only to have them hang up. Doesn't dry the dishes. Soap powder lays in the bottom undissolved. Haven't ran it in over 18 hours and it's still wet inside. Very very loud. Why would I or anyone purchase a Frigidaire product again?

Worst dishwasher ever!

I hate this dishwasher. The only thing good about it is the no smudge exterior. It doesn't clean well at all. Dishes never get dry even on Sahara Dry. The top rack super flimsy and difficult to pull out. I think I'll have to get a new one even though this is less than a year old. It's that bad.

Hi Sharon10, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us regarding your dishwasher. I recommend checking a few things before making any other decisions. Check and make sure the water coming in is at least 120 degrees, do you have heat dry cycle selected, and are you using rinse aid? I realize that as a consumer you feel that these are not reasons for your dishwasher to underperform. Over the last few years, Energy Star has issued stricter standards for water and energy usage which can increase the need for Rinse Aid to dry dishes. Please feel free to reconnect with us if you should have any other questions. Kindly, Jennifer

Oh no! Harvey12, I have some items to check for the not drying dilemma you are enduring. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes. Make sure you are using rinse aid, you can even increase the amount dispensed to help with drying (page 10 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Some plastics may need to be towel dried as they don’t get as hot as metal or glass, so more water collects. If you are on a well or have a reverse osmosis system, your home water pressure may be too low. For optimum performance, water pressure should be 20 to 120 PSI (pounds per square inch). To help with unpleasant smells, please consult page 11 in your Owner’s Manual for instructions on cleaning the glass trap. You can also try leaving the door open for a bit after unloading the clean dishes. I hope this helped! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Unhappy with this dishwasher

I waited until I had washed 10 loads before my review. I have not had one load meet my minimum standard of clean and dry dishes. My first issue is, you need to run water in the sink before you start the dishwasher. It did not appear to make a difference. My dishes are clean but I never get all of the silverware clean. I use a rinse agent on every load and still have spots. My biggest complaint is the dishes and the tub never dry. I always use heated dry and now I leave the door open and it still stays wet. My wife wants me to return it. I

Hey MannyL, I am terribly sorry to hear about your dishwasher's cleaning and drying concerns. I would recommend checking that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to get proper water temperature inside the dishwasher. Also, check the incoming water temperature to be sure it is not less than 120°F (49°C) at the sink closest to the dishwasher. You may want to double check the way you are loading your dishes; avoid nesting items. Water can accumulate when the items are too close together. Plastic items may need to be towel dried. This is because plastic does not retain heat, resulting in poor water evaporation from the item. This is common in all dishwashers. Hope this helps!
