Broken more than it has worked

We have had this dishwasher since May 9. It has not worked since July 1. We will have our second service call on August 9. So, in the 87 days we have owned it it has been broken for 35 of those days.

Less than stellar

The Heat Dry feature in this dishwasher will heat up the dishes at the end of the cycle to allow the water to evaporate off. To increase drying performance, we recommend using rinse aid along with a High Temp or Sanitize cycle. If you have any further questions or concerns, please give us a call at 800-374-4432 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8:00pm EST at your convenience.

Doesn't clean and doesn't dry

Have you checked your drain hose for any kinks or clogs?
I recommend checking your water temperature. Please review pages 10 of your dishwasher’s “Use & Care” guide on how to check your household’s water temp and other helpful tips.
Your household water temperature along with the water pressure plays a key role in your appliance’s performance. The recommended temperature should be 120°F (49°C), and the water pressure should be 20 to 120 pounds per square (psi).
Did you know? Your dishes need to be dirty for the dishwasher detergent to do its job. Pre-washing or rinsing dishes inhibits your detergent from working. Enzymes in the detergent are designed to attach themselves to food particles.

Good but...

We recommend running a hot empty cycle on your dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar in the bottom. This should remove any odors.
Also, please know that by leaving unclean dishes in the dishwasher with the door closed can cause odors. If so, try leaving the door slightly open until ready to use.

Disappointing

We have only had this dishwasher for a few months. We have already had it repaired once for smelling, not drying or cleaning well. They replaced the computer boards, but it still smells awful and doesn't dry completely. If a dish overlaps another one inevitably will remain dirty. Would not recommend this dishwasher.

Hello, Ester3! Thank you for your feedback! We sincerely apologize for your experience with your dishwasher. In regards to the dishwasher not drying the dishes, make sure that air dry is not being selected, this will result in wet dishes. For optimum drying performance, using a rinse aid has proven to be helpful. Also try using the Hi-Temp Wash option on the model. During the hi-temp wash option, the dishwasher heats water in the main wash to approximately 140F (60C) and increases the temperature higher in the final rinse. The increased water temperature helps the dishwasher detergent removes food grease and soil from dishes more effectively and aids in drying. Hopefully, this helps. Never has worked!!

We do recommend the continued use of a rinse aid. Also, check that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to get proper water temperature inside the dishwasher.
