Cheap and short lived but sufficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasted 4 years before it shorted out? Just wouldn't power on anymore. I bought this as a replacement because my original - same model - lasted 10 years. It goes to show you how the quality has gone down hill over time. My original only died because a part rusted and broke. This new unit showed signs of rusting after just a few months. Corded unit. Sufficient for wet canned cat food and basic food items. Loud but it is a cheap, small unit. Easy to install. And easy to replace if swapping with the same unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that your garbage disposer is no longer working as expected. It's possible the reset button has been tripped or there's a shorted or broken wire connecting to the disposer. You can check to see if the turntable will move freely using a broom handle and/or check the electrical power switch, fuse box, or circuit breaker.
We recommend referring to page 12 of the owner's manual for additional troubleshooting. Here is the link:

1/3 HP great for the job, with drain stopper

We Had GE 1/3 HP garbage disposal for 24 years with no Problems. I replaced it with the same one. Easy installation. Grinds good and very Quiet. 1/3 HP capacity is more than what we need for the Job.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my home in 2020 and the garbage disposal that was installed has stopped working in me multiple times. Had it repaired and I don’t use it much.currently not working again. What are my warranty options?

Garbage Disposal Stuck

GFC325 less than 2 years old and unit keeps getting stuck and plate will not spin. Now it is so stuck the plumber could not get it to spin. Says I need a new garbage disposal. Always had Insinkerator and this is first GE disposal that was put in by the builder. Plan to go back to Insinkerator if can not get unit to spin
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s too early to comment on or review this product as it’s been just less than a week since we moved in fully and started using the appliance!
As such it may not be appropriate to review either way without having used it literally!
However, it seems to work as expected from the initial couple of very little trials!
