Great product with quiet power!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a Whirlaway with this GE product and it has been a great upgrade. Very surprised at how quiet it operates while chewing up food. Great value for the money!

I had an other brand before this that had a larger motor, however after reading reviews and discovering the expense and lack of longevity of that model currently, I chose GE. This is my first GE disposal in my lifetime--including my parent's homes. My Father, a former plumbing contractor, suggested this was a good brand when I asked him.
This is a perfect size--we do not put a lot of junk down our disposer so are careful. No problems, self installed,and works like a charm. I am sticking with GE. thanks!

Easy install, does better then old model we replaced. Only gave 4 stars because it is a little louder then previous model.

My previous 3/4 HP GE Disposal was 14 years old and still operating. It had developed a bearing noise that was objectionable but it stll operated well. I decided to replace it with another reliable GE Disposal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to install and love the size

I replaced my old larger one and although I was told I would need 2 people I was able to install it easily by myself. It works great and I have more room under the sink. VERY HAPPY
