exact replacement for very old one,easy to install. I installed it myself. The age bracket does not go far enough.I was born april 9 1928.

Good for condo kitchen sink

I had this professionally installed; necessary for multi-unit condo building. I expect this will last many years with prudent use and care. My electrician recommended GE. Both my fridge and cook stove are years-long-in-reliable-use GE appliances!

effective yet quieter than most garbage diposals

Hook up is more difficult than anticipated. It requires both electrical and plumbing. I don't know why it is designed for a dish washer to feed into the garbage disposal as well (since the dishwasher didn't need a disposal prior to this), and this was initially an issue because the force of water coming from the dish washer caused it's outlet connection to separate and leak. So that part of the system need to be secured for which the instructions did not address. Our professional installer took care of everything, and the installation cost a lot more than the disposal purchase price. But it works well now and we are happy with it!
