Doesn't clean, doesn't dry, ruins stainless steel

Doesn't get anything clean. Must load it very sparsely to clean at all. I open before drying and dump excess water from things that have overturned, bottom of mugs etc but it still doesn't get things dry and at end of drying, there is still water on the door and in the bottom of machine. It ruins my stainless steel, which I've had for 8 years and looked brand new before this machine. Don't load anything near the detergent dispenser because it will be ruined. Washing once on the top rack took the color out of a plastic bowl I've used and washed for 15 years with no problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this machine! I was a little worried at first that it does'nt have a pots and pan button, but I used a glass bread pan that I like making lasana in, I over filled it and it went over and got burned on stuff to the bottem of the pan (luckly i had it on top of a cookie sheet with foil). I just rinsed it enough to get off any pieces of noodles off and just threw it in the top rack and used the cascade complete packs that the manual recommended, normal wash cyle with added heat and steam and it came out spotless even the bottem of the pan! All my dishes and glasses also come out cleaner and more shiney then my old machine and the water does'nt seem to splash out of the sink when draining which was a little problem with my old machine. I can fit my 2 15-11 inch cookie sheets in the bottem rack and there still is like an inch or so from the middle spray arm. It's pretty quite too! I love this machine so far! I've only had it for a week and I run it 1-2 times a day. The only thing I don't like is the door latch on the roof of the inside of the machine is metal with a plastic tip looks like it will be the first thing to break. Also I think it needs another light to tell you its drying because of the pauses between cycle, also if you have a nice set of flatware drying heat or not you want ot pull that out of the dishwasher as soon as its done to prevent long term damage, once agian a light will make this more helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very quiet and super fast in the normal wash mode. This model also has the STEAM (Prewash) which works great for hard to remove food, also the SANITIZE feature is great on this machine. Heated Drying and Delayed Hours are available on this unit. All in all this GE Appliance is a good value for its price, and surpasses most of its compition in portable dishwashers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This portable dishwasher is a nice feature to the kitchen, easy to roll around, easy to use. Has a large interior, plenty of room for dishes. Runs very quietly. I like it that you do not have to use the Heat element. I just roll it back when finished and crack the door for the steam to escape. Saves on electric and they dry quickly. The surface is even with the counter top which makes it appearance less noticible.

This dishwasher finishes in an hour - wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like almost everything about this dishwasher but it is very hard to connect and the hardest dishwasher to load I have EVER had. I find myself washing many dishes by hand after lunch because I know I am going to have trouble loading the dinner dishes into the dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the dishwasher in Dec and 8 months later it didn't work anymore. Two months later and I'm waiting on the technician to come back a third time to fix it. I previously had a different brand that I used for 10 years before it had a problem and this one didn't make it a year. The quality just isn't there and the customer service isn't either since I've been trying to get it fixed for about two months now. Avoid this dishwasher and look elsewhere.

I purchased this product based on some good reviews I read on here and the price was right. I have only had it 3 weeks and am not overly impressed. It doesn't particularly clean well and it left a huge mess of soapy water on my kitchen floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
