Dishwasher arrived with quite a bit of water in it. I was told this was nothing to worry about. After installation, it started running, pulling water but then shut itself off. This is all it does. We are without a dishwasher on Thanksgiving and will have to wait a week until GE service repair is able to come out. Absolutely absurd after purchasing a new appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. We purchased the stainless dishwasher and the heating element no longer works. The dishes are not drying, everything is wet after the wash cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features and easy to keep clean

I shopped for a long time to find the Cafe line! I am definitely sold on it. The appliances are covered in glass so easy to clean fingerprints! The machine is so quiet that you can barely hear it. Love the extra shelf for silverware on the top so that you can separate silverware and have it extra clean and no more bending over to the old side trays and having knives mixed with other silverware. Love it

Very happy with this purchase. No fingerprints on the glass, very quiet operation, dries better than other dishwashers I’ve owned.

Disappointing

Dishwasher does no totally clean the dishes. Often have to re do some of the dishes. Does not dry the dishes I have to dry most of them when I remove them. Very disappointed in this item.

To improve the unit's wash and dry performance, make sure that the incoming water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. We recommend running the hot water at the kitchen faucet before starting a cycle. Additional tips and tricks can be found at the links below:

Do NOT Buy!

I hate this dishwasher. And I’ve only had it for about 9 months. The wheels fall off the bottom rack easily and one is now lost. The dishes don’t always come out clean. And worst of all, half the time the stupid thing won’t even start!!! It just beeps an error alarm and doesn’t turn on. We’ve checked that nothing is jammed or blocked and that the seal on the door is good but it still keeps having the “error”. There is no way of knowing what the machine thinks is wrong. I will cancel the wash and try again. Sometimes it will magically start working even though I’ve changed NOTHING! Makes no sense! Sometimes it takes days before it will work. I’ve tried to get someone from GE to look at it. They’ve scheduled 4 times and all 4 times no one ever showed up or called at all. I have a friend who has a different model GE washer and she has the same problem. My advice is to avoid GE all together.
