great idea but does not work consistantly

This thing is spotty to say the least. Sometimes it goes days without giving you information. And then it is not accurate. With today's technology it can and should be spot on accurate within at least 50 feet. I have had this thing tell me my truck is 5 miles away from the location that the truck actually was and I was with the truck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work!

I bought this product a couple of days ago and it doesn't even work. I wanted to use this device because I drive a lot for my jobs and I wanted to keep track on the health of my car while I'm on the road. The app that goes along with this device is awful. It doesn't want to update or tell me about my recent trips. It haven't worked since I got it and I'm in my return policy and I'm returning this device. I would not recommend this device to any of my fellow friends or colleagues.

Not Accurate half the time!

Been using about a week. It misses some trips. Says the truck is where it isnt. Hard to keep track of employees when you can't trust the system purchased to track them.

I like the device and it does a very good job staying on pace with my work van. It lets me know when any issues seem to need addressing before I decide I need to get it serviced. The UI is a bit dated.. slow to function sometimes and just not really well thought out. The iOS app is the same way. I'm not a big fan of the Aglink (Car Connect) marketing calls though. I've been contacted a couple of time now about quoting insurance rates from some of their providers. Didn't realize this when I got it, nor is there an "Opt-out" feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Okay product

I bought this product thinking it was something else. I returned it to get what I actually wanted. While I had it hooked it it worked okay. The location device was not very good. While I was at work it said that I was 3 miles away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I haven't had this device long enough to give it 5 stars....for the price, it is invaluable, much needed information about your vehicle's health can be easily obtained with its use.........

Easy to install and use but the user interface is a little dated...

I received one of these from my parents a few weeks ago, they are tech junkies, and I have been playing with it for some time now. They wanted me to use it because I am not the best driver XD (I have had a few speeding tickets/traffic violations in my day) They thought it would help out in that respect and it has. I was a notorious text-er while I drove and really had no self control to stop it myself! The product gives you access to the Zoomsafer app that blocks your phone while you are driving and I am sure it has saved me from a fender bender or two already.
Install:
It was as easy as plugging in an USB. Literally I just plunged it in and turned on the car. There are a few steps to set up the app but it is more profile setting up than installing. It was actually a pleasant...I thought it was going to be a hassle to set up.

The main thing the device does is track your car and give you feed back on your driving habits. It gives you a neat little map showing your "trip" and also calculates your MPG and how much you spent on gas. It calculates a "driver score" for you that is based on how often you are accelerating to fast, breaking to hard, or taking turns to sharply. I haven;t had a chance to use it but the device also reads your engine...like if your engine light comes on IT TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG. Talk about useful! Ever since my auto mechanic class in HS I was warned about mechanics scamming people into getting more work on their car than they needed. Now I can walk in and tell them what is wrong...not the other way around. I really cannot wait to do this.

So I guess I should say some things I don't really like about it...one is the price but I don't really have to deal with this (parents can be awesome sometimes). The biggest problem I have and it is not even really a problem...is the dated UI. It just looks old but I am sure that could be changed with an update...and seeing how this just recently came out I bet there will be one soon.
Pros: easy install: plug and go, web and mobile app (free as well), easy to navigate menus (app and web), the device feels well-built very solid, free text/phone blocking app, reads your check engine light
Cons: dated ui, kind of pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!
