I made the mistake of trying knock-off cartridges. I literally could not read the print. So, I ordered HP cartridges. The print is clear and bright. My only issue is that the cartridges cost more than the printer.

I have a 22 year old hp laserjet printer and always use hp cartridges for my printers and have never had any issues with the cartridges or the printer.
I have owned hp products since 1973 when I purchased a hp35 calculator, that I still use today.
