Looks great works as it should, but magnets stick

I replaced a bulky over the range microwave. So happy I did. The hood looks great and works fine, but i thought magnets weren't suppose to work on stainless steel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi JED6957, Thank you for your feedback. While several grades of stainless are not magnetic, this unit is made with ferritic 430 grade stainless steel. That is why this model is magnetic.

love the look of my new hood

just had this installed yesterday, didn't have one before. love it except that the highest speed on the fan doesn't work right. the button doesn't stay on. but, it's so high, we probably wouldn't have used it much anyway.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How is the Capture Efficiency tested -- by HVI? 98 seems very high.
What is you Captur™ system ?
What are the sound ratings at each speed?

For this model the Sones will vary between 1.5 on Normal setting up to 5.5 on High. As with any Range hood, your ducting option and length can alter the performance and sound level of a unit. Dont Buy

Cheaply made. Fan mount wasnt attached to one side of the sheet metal frame. Only two little nubs hold it in place on one side and the sheet metal is flimpsywhich causes it to pop out. Also as someone said before, the vent on a 12inch cabinte with full thickness doors vents on the front of the door. Thats just a warping issue waiting to happen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

False advertising on the “dishwasher safe” filters

The filters are NOT dishwasher safe. After one cycle in the dishwasher they turned brown. Very disappointing!!!

Thank you for your feedback on the BCSQ130SS. Per the installation manual, the grease filters should be cleaned frequently using a warm dishwashing detergent solution. While the grease filters are dishwasher safe. You should clean all-metal filters in the dishwasher using a non-phosphate detergent. Discoloration of the filters may occur if using phosphate detergents, or as a result of local water conditions - but this will not affect filter performance. This discoloration is not covered by the warranty. To minimize or prevent discoloration, hand wash filters using a mild detergent.
